IoT4CPS organizes session @Vienna Cyber Security Week 2019
Violeta Damjanovic-Behrendt (Salzburg Research), Omar Veledar (AVL) and Nikolaus Dürk (X-NET) gave an update on the research progress within IoT4CPS at the 2019 Vienna Cyber Security Week hosted at WKO. The session was moderated by Corinna Schmitt and mainly targeted the areas of Digital Twin and Automotive.
In addition to the session “IoT in Industry” Heinz Weiskirchner (Nokia) and Julia Pammer (SBA Research) also represented IoT4CPS in the exhibitor area.
Deliverable 3.1 “Design & Methods Concept” published

IoT4CPS @ ICT 2018: Imagine Digital
The ICT 2018: Imagine Digital took place in Vienna from December 4 -6, 2018. The 20 year anniversary brought the ICT conference back to Vienna where it premiered in 1998. With a confirmed number of over 6000 participants this year´s conference broke all previous records. In addition to a successful community session and the contribution to several networking sessions, IoT4CPS was also represented in the Austrian Village along with fellow FFG lighthouse projects.

IoT4CPS to host Community Session at the ICT 2018
IoT4CPS will be hosting a community session along with other Austrian lighthouse projects at the ICT 2018: Imagine Digital – Connect Europe.
In the course of the Imagine community session participants will be encouraged to engage in an interactive brainstorming about the overall topic of “Safety and Security”.
Leading up to the discussion, the following issues and questions will be introduced by the project members:
– „Why is safety and security important for autonomous driving?” (Omar Veledar, AVL)
– “Connectivity Issues” (Edin Arnautovic, TTTech)
– “IoT – Connecting real and digital world” (Mario Drobics, AIT)
– “Digital Twin for Security and Safety in the Automotive Industry” (Violeta Damjanovic-Behrendt, Salzburg Research)
IoT4CPS represented at the 9th International Conference on Intelligent Systems in Funchal, Madeira
The IoT4CPS project was represented at the 9th International Conference on Intelligent systems “Theory, Research and Innovation in Applications” in Funchal, Madeira, on 25th – 27th September 2018 (http://www.ieee-is2018.com/). The IoT4CPS paper “A Digital Twin-based Privacy Enhancement Mechanism for the Automotive Industry” was presented by Violeta Damjanovic-Behrendt from Salzburg Research, as part of the session on Decision Support Systems.
The paper discusses a Digital Twin demonstrator for privacy enhancement in the automotive industry, which is designed to simulate variety of conditions that can occur in the smart car ecosystem.
