The IoT4CPS project consortium met for a plenary meeting in Graz on June 14, 2018.
After individual morning sessions the consortium discussed the current project status as well as upcoming milestones in a plenary session.

Edin Arnautovic speaks about automated driving at IMPACT 2018

Towards Automated Driving – Safety-Critical Supercomputer on Wheels

Automated vehicles will most certainly shape the future of transportation and society. Although such vehicles are being tested nowadays, even on public roads, there are still many challenges to overcome to make them safe enough for end-users. This presentation will touch on some technological aspects regarding transition towards higher levels of automated driving, especially on safety-related computational platforms required for such transition.

Presentation of IoT4CPS at the Vienna Cyber Security Week

Project coordniator Mario Drobics (AIT) gave a presentation about the IoT4CPS project at this year´s cyber security week.

The event hosted by the AIT centered around the issue of protecting critical energy infrastructure.

IoT4CPS Public Kick-off

The public kick-off of the Austrian flagship project IoT4CPS took place at TU Vienna on February 1, 2018.

After some welcome notes from Johannes Fröhlich (Vice Rector, TU Vienna), Helmut Leopold (Head of Center for Digital Safety and Security, AIT) and Andreas Eckel (Team Lead Grants, TTTech) we looked into the contents and aims of the project.

The auditorium was then invited to join interactive workshops based on the project´s main topics. The official part of the kick-off was eventually concluded by short presentations of the brainstorming outcomes and an expert panel discussion.

Neues österreichisches Leitprojekt für sicheres Internet der Dinge (IoT) gestartet

Im neuen nationalen Leitprojekt „IoT4CPS“ wird die österreichische Hightech Industrie gemeinsam mit Forschungseinrichtungen und Universitäten neue Sicherheitskonzepte für das Internet der Dinge entwickeln. Der Fokus des Projekts liegt dabei auf vernetzten Fahrzeugen sowie auf intelligenter Produktion. Für den am 1. Februar 2018 anberaumten Kick-Off sind interessierte Industrieunternehmen und Forschungseinrichtungen herzlich eingeladen sich über das Projekt zu informieren sowie ihre Anforderungen aus Anwendersicht in einem interaktiven Workshop einzubringen. Das Fördervolumen des auf 3 Jahre angesetzten Projektes beträgt insgesamt 3 Millionen Euro.
